The Short Version

Breakfree is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only what we need to provide our focus and productivity services. Your Screen Time data stays on your device, and we don't sell your personal information to anyone.

Screen Time Data

All app blocking happens on-device using Apple's Screen Time API. We don't know which apps you block or when you use them. This data never leaves your device.

Encrypted Messages

Messages use the Matrix protocol with end-to-end encryption. We cannot read your conversations - they're encrypted in transit and at rest.

Your Drawings & Content

Daily drawings, streaks, and session data are stored securely and linked to your account. You retain ownership of all content you create.

Social Features

Friends, groups, and leaderboards require sharing your blocked time stats with other users. You control who you connect with.

What We Collect

•Account Info: Name, email, Apple ID for authentication

•Session Data: Focus session history, scheduled sessions, blocked time tracking

•Creative Content: Daily drawings, streak calendar data, break preferences

•Social Data: Friends list, group memberships, leaderboard rankings

•Instagram (Optional): DM sync for convenience if you choose to connect

•Analytics: Device type, app version, crash reports to improve the app

Your Rights

You can:

•Request a copy of your data

•Correct inaccurate information

•Delete your account and data

•Export your information

•Opt-out of data collection

•Withdraw consent anytime

Third Parties

•Google AdMob: Serves ads (free version). Collects device and advertising identifiers.

•Matrix Servers: Encrypted messaging infrastructure. Messages stored per their policies.

•Instagram API: Optional DM sync through our secure proxy. Disconnect anytime.

We Don't Sell Your Data

We do not sell your personal information. Period. We use it only to provide and improve Breakfree's services. Your trust matters more than any short-term revenue opportunity.
